Assistant Directing

Directing is amazing. This is my 7th year assistant directing for MXTW. It’s been a huge honor having the opportunity to work with so many amazingly hardworking weirdos over those years. I took this picture of Megan directing a couple days ago and I love it.

It’s got this weird motherly kind of soft glow thing with the bright pit of youthful energy and inspiration. Dakota is plotting some kind of evil, Emma and Mary are sharing a conspiring look, and Issac is listening closely to Megan: it’s perfect. We help nurture some really amazing people and works of art. I just wanted to thank everyone for helping me through some tough times recently and letting me document your weirdness, and accepting mine.

We got the floor spatter painted tonight to a mix of Dolly Parton and Drake. It’s gorgeous and I can’t wait for you to see it tomorrow, or Friday, or Saturday. You should get tickets soon, there are only a few seats left. I should have the pictures for tech rehearsals up Friday. I have over 1,000 photos to sort through from tech rehearsals and a curriculum unit and lesson plans to draft for my grad level education course. 😀
