Ok, so I did the stuff before ’04 from far off hazy memory, so if anyone remembers differently let me know. Also, I know that the stories in ’99, 2000, and 2001 were Snow White, Rumplestiltskin, and The Pied Piper of Hamelin, but I don’t know which year was which. I also know that before my association with the workshop began in ’95 some of the stories that were done were: Medea, Bambi, Arthurian Legend, and Sleeping Beauty, but I don’t know what order those go in either. If anyone remembers post a comment and we can update this. – gwethalyn
Gweth, 1993 was Bambi with Hndke, Breuer, Sklar, Foreman. Other than that I would have to dig out the programs. Which if needed I can do tomorrow.
I believe Genesis had pinter, not grotowski. It was the piece written by funderbergh, nilges, et al.
🙂
1992 was Medea, right? That was my first year. I think that was the year I was in the Müller group. And 1994 was Arthurian Legend? I did that year, too. Joan of Arc was the adult group. Which year was that?
The year we did Genesis Steph, Kristina, Quinten, and I were in an Artuad/Grotowski group. Dan, Teresa et. al. did dada! I rember becaus eI remember there being a recurring peanut.
2002 had Stein as well.
Here are the rest that I know.
1994: Legends– Tzara, Handke, dada, Muller, Sklar
1992: (July performances–the grown-ups! I remember now!) Joan of Ark and featured a group piece called ‘Joan Dark, On Her Own Case’ The program states it was written by the whole company and used various sources, but does not list specific playwrights.
1992: (June performances HS players) Medea– Handke, Artaud(with Freud), Rame/Brecht, Muller
1991: Beauty and the Beast– Handke, Kennedy, Akalaitis/Collette
1990: Was performances of pieces written by the playwrights, that were then tailored by the actors/directors of this year’s group.
Maybe Sean remembers 1989? That was before my time.
’89, as I remember, was… ouch. We did “Hamletmachine” by Müller, Artaud, Pinter and… Brecht? Maybe? Anything before last month gets hazy fast, so I’m not sure.
Renee remembers doing “Men for Sale,” a monologue. Can’t recall what it was. Thinks we did an Akalitis thing as well, but she doesn’t recall. Oh, and “Hammerheads” by Shriekback.
