Opening Night

Tonight blew my face off. I am so impressed with you guys, all of you. Everyone has improved so much, even the veterans. I also think I witnessed the most amazing warm up to music that I HAVE EVER SEEN. EVER. This is my 4th year directing, and I did 2 warm ups as a participant (2003 and 2004) and it’s never been this good. I think I saw some of you utilize some of the full body contact stuff that you got to see in the modern dance performances that we saw last summer at the fringe festival. OR I could be wrong and you are just that much more daring and eager to challenge yourselves physically. You also have amazing control over your bodies. here were a few near misses, but no one got hurt. phew. amazing night. all my friends say this is their favorite year in recent memory, so good work guys. you’ve earned it 🙂
