Stein and Breuer group

Well I woke up an hour before I needed to this morning and in order to keep myself awake, I decided to bake some scones (I also have entirely too much heavy wipping cream in my fridge, and scone making uses up a cup of cream). So my Stein group, who all wrote a lot of nice lines about biscuits, got to eat scones and tea for a snack. Biscuits (baking powder American-style ones) and scones are like cousins, except scones have more fat and fruit and/or nuts and are a little sweet (not too sweet; then you’re doin’ it wrong). The ones I made today were my standard dried currants and lemon zest. The rest of the whole group shouldn’t worry, I’ll make more baked goods, maybe madeleines next time.

After the first cut the Stein piece ran much too long. we cut again and got it down to 11 and a half minutes. Then Josh showed up and we cut again and it was 10 and a half minutes and we were out of time for cutting. So Ellen, Emily, and Hannah gave Josh and me permission to trim it down just a bit more. Which we did, and now it’s done and gorgeous and fit and we all love it.

Desire of immortality is remarkable. Afterlife may exist. Differences differences between afterlife and immortality might not be obvious. If immortality and afterlife last forever why do they both exist and why do we need time and why do we need time and why do we want to live in eternity and what is eternity if we cannot measure it and who wants to live for eternity if we don’t know how it is and how it is and how it is. you can only imagine.

I had Breuer yesterday with Chad and cutting was really difficult, but by my math we cut 44% of what we originally had: getting it down to a mighty 1,890 words. I still think it could use some fine tuning, and Carolyn, Mercedes, and Barbara are writing their Dante letters, but it’s all good.

AH THE GOOD OLD DAYS. YOU PICKED FLOWERS. I WATCHED YOU. YOU FROLICKED THROUGH MEADOWS. I WATCHED YOU. YOU LAZED IN THE SUN. I CREEPED. I SNATCHED YOU AWAY. ALSO YOU SMELLED REALLY GOOD. LIKE FLOWERS AND DIRT.
